Nerd Reps is intended to use daily.
The initial Japanese Intro deck is intented to get you started with Japanese language learning. However, the tools you use are freely available to help you continue your studies.
Flash Cards
You should check in frequently to see if you have any flash card reviews due.
New Cards
You will likely experienece a lot of friction with new cards. It's entirely normal and ok to get new cards wrong on the first several attempts.
Speed
You shouldn't have to think deeply about what a card means. You can try to infer the meaning by analyzing the word, but if you find yourself trying to think deeply about it, it might help just to get it wrong on purpose and move on. It will be shown again.
Out of Band Review
Nerd Reps provides a way to review cards out of band from the SRS. This is a form of practice.
readings
If you don't have any flash cards due, you could try out some reading. Readings become available when you know most of the words in the content.
Drills
Drills are available to review flash cards outside of the SRS (Spaced Repitition System).
